ONOB is a kitchen innovation device which aims to automate the process of controlling gas stove’s knob to makes cooking safe and easy. It automatically regulates the stovetop temperature at which food cooks. The smart knob would be used in place of the existing knob, accompanied by a mobile application to provide cooking instructions for the user's favorite dishes from a variety of cuisines. Additionally, the cooking process would be customized with timers, safety alerts for gas leaks or spikes in carbon monoxide and heat control that could be adjusted from anywhere in the house. The application is also integrated with a store where people can buy spices and cooking utensils without stepping out of their house.

It's a device which brings few basic features of oven or microwave to a gas stove like timer settings to temperature setting with some preset modes related what process in most common while cooking on stove (like boiling milk, potatoes, and Dal in the cooker).

ONOB FUNCTIONING

The knob is controlled by the app interface, which requires wireless connectivity from the device (using BLE or Wi-Fi)

The temperature and pressure probe should also connect wirelessly with the knob.

The user's cooking habits, including preferred cuisines and cooking times for specific dishes, are automatically learned by the application.

There is an intend to include some recipes from well-known chefs, such as Sanjeev Kapoor, and create a platform on the app where users can contribute their own recipes.

Also, there could be different categories of products for different audience (some affordable ones aimed at the middle class and others reserved for professionals and the upper class).

ONOB will be promoted as a device that, in addition to teaching seasoned cooks, can also instruct those who have never cooked before.
